Governance & Sustainability

Governance and sustainability begin at the same place.

At Orovia, governance and sustainability form part of the foundations of the firm – clear accountability, conscientious conduct and an awareness of consequence. They influence how we exercise judgement, safeguard what is entrusted to us and consider what should remain sound over time.

How we govern our work

As a corporate service provider, Orovia occupies a position of trust. We honour that position through disciplined working practices, reliable records and proper attention to the identities, interests and circumstances connected with each engagement. Integrity, objectivity, competence and confidentiality guide both the work we undertake and the professional judgement we bring to it.

We place a high priority on ethical business conduct and hold ourselves to that commitment in every engagement, task, decision and professional relationship.

How we handle information

Orovia is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal data entrusted to us. We collect and process personal data only in connection with providing our services, running our business and meeting applicable legal and regulatory obligations. We handle that data in accordance with the PDPA and other applicable data protection requirements.

Only what is needed

We seek only the personal data reasonably required for the relevant purpose and do not request sensitive information unless the circumstances require it.

Access with reason

Access is limited to those who need the information. Any disclosure is made only where appropriately authorised, necessary for our work, or required or permitted by law.

Protected for as long as it is held

Safeguards are applied according to the nature and sensitivity of the data. It is retained only while there is a business, legal or regulatory reason and securely disposed of when no longer required.

Accountable and responsive

Our Data Protection Officer oversees our approach. We respond to applicable access and correction requests, questions, concerns and data incidents in accordance with the PDPA.

For further information, read our Data Protection & Privacy Policy.

How we use technology responsibly

Our use of technology is guided by purpose, proportionality and accountability. We apply systems, automation and AI selectively, with consideration for the information involved and the significance of the work. Appropriate human review remains part of how technology-assisted work is completed.

How we approach sustainability and inclusion

Orovia was formed on the belief that commercial success and responsible business practice should move together. For Orovia, progress is not measured by accumulation alone. We believe growth should be purposeful and proportionate, creating value without unnecessary consumption and recognising our shared responsibility to sustain the environment that supports us.

This belief shapes our approach to environmental, social and governance considerations, beginning with decisions within our control: using resources thoughtfully, favouring efficient digital processes where appropriate and considering how our choices affect people and the environment. As the firm grows, we also intend to support selected initiatives that contribute to the communities around us.

Diversity, equity and inclusion form part of that responsibility. We want people of different backgrounds and perspectives to be treated with dignity, given fair opportunity and able to contribute meaningfully, within our team and across our relationships with clients and partners. We will develop these practices proportionately and communicate our commitments and progress honestly.
